I've created a "Director's Cut Version" (24 minutes) of my 2024 Mid-Year conference presentation on Artificial Intelligence to share with the "3D Hydrography (3DHP) FTN Interest Group". Here is the YouTube LINK.
This presentation explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI): Machine Learning (ML), Large Language Models (LLMs), and Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) can support "all things GIS". At the end I also demonstrate a custom GPT that I'm currently developing to support NSGIC's 3DHP efforts.
The custom GPT I'm developing is called NSGIC's 3DHP FTN GPT Advisor and is designed for use by State's participating in the USGS 3D Hydrography Program. This GPT is being trained in areas that includes: State Planning, EDH Funding Strategies, EDH Data Development Specifications, Quality Control Standards, and Applications of 3DHP Data.
To answer questions from states about planning their 3DHP / EDH programs, this GPT includes all authoritative 3DHP documents published by the USGS, NSGIC's 3DEP and 3DHP For the Nation state planning resources, and other supporting documents.
