Thanks to those that participated in the June 15, 2022 3DHP FTN Interest Group meeting. The meeting recording is available here.
We covered several topics and I'd like to share both an information request and a new resource.

    Input Requested
USGS is working on plans to transition from NHD, WBD, and NHDPlus HR to a single product, the 3DHP. As plans progress, a better understanding as to how current hydrography products are used is needed to ensure that the 3DHP data model supports user applications. If you use NHDPlus HR data we would like your input to the questions provided here. If you shared comments during the meeting, please check the linked document to ensure that your information was captured correctly. You are also encouraged to share this link with others in your state that may be using  NHDPlus HR data.

    Preparing for 3DHP
The USGS 3D Hydrography Program presents a valuable opportunity for states interested in improving the level of detail, currency, and inclusion of hydrography data. To effectively engage with the program, states need to form partnerships to inform and fund acquisition. NSGIC has developed a handout, Building the Statewide 3D Hydrography Community, to assist states in taking the first step toward 3DHP preparation. This is the first in a series of handouts to be developed to assist states in 3DHP planning. The handout is intended as a living documents and users are encouraged to add comments as relevant.

    Upcoming 3DHP Info Forum
Mark you calendars for the July 20, 2022, 3:00-4:30 pm (E) 3DHP Info Forum where Mark Holmes and team will return to share information about the Michigan 3DHP pilot project and partnerships as well as some interesting hydrography data anomalies discovered during the pilot. Information about registering for the Forum will be distributed in early July and accessible via the NSGIC Calendar.

As always, you can locate recordings, Q&A docs, and other materials from past 3DHP meetings and forums via the NSGIC Learning Link using the '3DHP' search term - login required.

Hope to see you next month,

    Lynda
