As most of you are aware,  the NSGIC 3DHP FTN project has developed a
Culvert Mapping Activities and Attributes Survey

The purpose of the survey is to capture information about the character, technical approach, and data produced by culvert mapping efforts at all levels. By collecting this information, NSGIC intends to provide an overview of culvert mapping methods and practices and develop a set of best practices for use by stakeholders in developing culvert data that best integrates with 3DHP.

Your participation is needed by February 17, 2023. Please add this to your to-do list. We have had very few responses. We previously requested responses for late February but need the information earlier for a NSGIC Midyear Meeting presentation and discussion. If you are not responsible for culvert mapping in your state or organization but are aware of others that are, please distribute the link.

We realize you receive multiple requests for information so we try to minimize our call for input. Your insights, however, are important and will help us move forward as a community in an more effective and efficient manner.

Thank you for your continued participation in the NSGIC 3DHP FTN project -

    Lynda

    Thank you NSGIC!

Your response to the culvert mapping inventory is greatly appreciated. Thank you for both responding and for spreading the word. Twenty-one participants, from state, local, tribal, and federal government and the private sector provided information about their culvert mapping strategies, intent, attributes, standards, applications, and more! The information collected will inform the community and support the development of a set of culvert mapping best practices in support of 3DHP.

The inventory will remain open so please add information and share the link with others. This initial set of responses however were key to refining the task and support federal efforts at developing a set of minimum culvert attributes.

I hope to see you at the NSGIC Midyear Meeting where we will be sharing the initial results,

    Hoo-ray -

    Lynda
